Movies in Review: "The Mechanic"

Ok to be very honest, the only reason I go to see any Jason Stathom film, is only because of Jason. The man is absolutely gorgeous! I mean come on...you know with all his films exactly what your going to get, and this one was no different. Actually the beginning of this film was quite boring, and I was starting to feel disappointed. But it picked up and was all good. The story line was dull. But lets be honest, you don't go see a Stathom film for the writing or acting, just the action...and he delivered as always. But true to form the endings are also always the same. All his characters are just untouchable, and he's too smart and smooth for everyone...smh. Its a good thing this man is as fine as he is...that's all I have to say. The men will most likely love it more than the women, because they don't need anything more than fist fights, and gun play to keep them entertain...lol...C+

Movies in Review: "No Strings Attached"

Ok I must admit that I might be biased because I am totally in love with Ashton Kutcher...although I hated Valentine's Day, but loved him in it.  But anyway needless to say I absolutely adored this film....aaawwwwwweeee. :). Ok that was an indication to my male counterparts that this is definitely a chick flick. It has all the components that the men will either benefit from if their women go see this film, or be arguing over...lol...I'm just being honest.

Ashton and Natalie were perfect together. Natalie is a great actress but sometimes when watching her you just feel like you can't relate to her, and would never want to be around her. In this film she was the total opposite. She was relaxed, real, and funny. Kinda like Sandra Bullock, but different...but you know what I'm trying to say. The comedy was great. Loved "Shira", the girl who plays in the office...hilarious. The best scene was with Natalie Portman drunk and you keep hearing her say pumpkin patch. She worked that scene, because I could really see myself doing the same thing...lol.

The only complaint I had was the ending. You could literally hear everyone in the audience go "huh?". Kinda just left you hangin, really didn't know what they were trying to say with that ending, but whatever. Loved it regardless. Truth be told I'm a chick and its a chick flick, so don't say I didn't warn you fellas. To my ladies, U are going to Love It! ...A!

Movies in Review: "From Prada to Nada"

Ummmmm yeah I don't have much of a review but what I do have have to say will give you a clear idea of what your getting into if you are thinking about going to see this film. Ok the first 5 mins were lousy. Nothing was really said, but you can tell by the camera shots and the direction that this may not be a good film...yeah. Well I tried to give it a chance, but after sitting there for 15min I could not take it. It was the worst film I have seen since...that stupid movie with Damon Wayans...but that was at least decent enough for me to sit to the end of it. I wouldn't waste my money or time on this one, unless you have time and money to waste. I'm kind of pissed that I'm even wasting my time writing this review :/....F!!!!!

Movies in Review: "The Way Back"

Was waaaaaaaayyyyyy too long. It is a film about Siberian prisoners who escape their prison camp and trek from Siberia alllllllll the way to India on foot. That's one hell of a walk, but it seemed that this film tried to document every waking moment of the trip. I mean come on! How much action are you gonna really get just walking across the map. I mean you get the usual and expected, like the treacherous weather conditions, lack of food and water, people dying off because of the treacherous weather conditions and lack of food and water...smh. I mean the film was good. It had a great cast including Ed Harris (who I love) and Colin Farrell (who always seems to play a dick in his movies...smh). If war films are your thing, then you may enjoy it. But I recommend that you not try to watch this film late, or tired because you may definitely find yourself falling asleep.

But like I said it was ok for what it was worth, I just don't think the story was entertaining enough to make a whole film out of it...C!

Movies in Review: "The Dilemma"

I really must say that I was quite surprised that this movie was as good as it was. I really wasn't expecting a whole lot, from what I got from the trailer. But the only reason I got on board to see this film was because Ron Howard's name was attached to it, and I trust him. And true to form, he delivered as usual. I usually find Vince Vaughn to be a little extra, and I think directors give him too much room to be over the top, but in the Dilemma he was on point and delivered well. My favorite scene was the one between him and Channing Tatum...hilarious! This movie isn't over the top funny, actually has a pretty good story going on. I think they could have done a better job with this movie poster...boring, but you'll enjoy this film.  Kevin James and Vince were great together, and I don't think you'll be disappointed so go check it. Movies in Review: "The Green Hornet"

This movie could have been 10 times better if they did not make the mistake of casting Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet. He actually killed everything about this film for me. Action hero? I don't think so. He was sooooo annoying in this film, and I usually find him quite amusing to watch. It just felt like he was trying to be waaaaayyy over the top, and it wasn't necessary. They just should have cast someone else. The only thing that saved this film (a little), because the story, and writing  were both pretty bad, but Kato was freakin awesome. Not only was he super easy on the eyes, he was just all around great. The action scenes would have been nothing if he were not in them, and the action scenes were pretty great. Not at all worth the 3D money, because it wasn't shot in Real 3D, so save your cash. Not a must see, but making it a netflix night is ok. I give it a C-...SMH
